RAN developed comprehensive fire sprinkler and fire alarm design documents, along with detailed high-piled storage permit drawings, for an expansive, multi-level artwork storage racking system within a 30,000 square foot facility. Operated by Crozier, this facility is dedicated to the care and secure storage of artwork. Their expert technicians provide a full range of bespoke crating and packing options, custom-built to ensure each piece is optimally prepared for its time in storage. Our fire protection design ensures optimal protection for valuable collections against external risks within the storage environment. Wurth Warehouse

Orlando, FL

RAN Fire Protection Engineering provided consulting services for Wurth International Trading America, Inc.’s facilities in Florida. The project involved an evaluation study of existing sprinkler systems and proposed new storage commodities within their warehouses. RAN’s role focused on assessing and classifying proposed hazardous materials and conditions, and developing fire protection design modification options to ensure compliance with applicable NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and State Code requirements. This included a detailed review of hazardous materials safety data sheets, relevant building and fire codes, and preliminary hydraulic calculations to estimate water demand. RAN’s expertise was crucial in navigating the complexities of material classification and code analysis, ultimately providing the client with clear design criteria for future sprinkler system modifications, thereby enhancing overall safety and compliance.

Wunderlich-Malec Southeast Expansion

Baldwin, FL

RAN Fire Protection Engineering provided essential fire protection engineering services for Wunderlich-Malec Engineering’s Southeast Expansion project. This project involved the construction of a new 60,800 square foot manufacturing facility in Baldwin, Florida, designed to accommodate a future expansion of approximately 24,400 square feet. RAN’s comprehensive role included expert code consulting, offering guidance to minimize costly insurance premiums for the facility. Furthermore, RAN delivered detailed system design services for wet pipe sprinkler and fire alarm systems, producing robust construction documents. Through these efforts and ongoing construction administration, RAN’s expertise ensured stringent code compliance and proactively addressed potential issues, significantly contributing to a safe and secure operational environment for the client.
