RAN Fire Protection Engineering is excited to announce that we are being joined by The Fire Protection Consortium Inc (the FPI). This expands our presence to 3 more states, Florida, Illinois and Washington. The FPI was founded in 2001 as a full-service professional security and fire protection consulting and engineering firm. This partnership will bring deeper engineering expertise which will strengthen RAN’s services.
About The FPI
The FPI is a fire protection and security consulting and engineering firm founded in 2001. The company offers a full suite of services, including building code analysis, the design of fire extinguishing and alarm systems, and building commissioning.
The FPI’s core specialization is the warehouse industry. This focus has made the firm uniquely qualified to assist clients with design, retrofit, or code compliance challenges for warehouse projects. The FPI’s extensive experience, including full-scale fire testing, has even led to changes in fire codes, helping clients avoid significant costs.
Dedicated to outstanding, hands-on service, The FPI’s engineers and consultants work directly with clients to find timely and cost-effective solutions for projects both in the U.S. and internationally. The firm’s core mission is to help clients succeed by combining extensive experience, exceptional customer service, and a practical approach.
Our New Principal Team Members
We are thrilled to welcome The FPI’s two principals, Carl Anderson and Gerald Schultz, to the RAN leadership team.
Mr. Anderson has over 30 years of experience. Before founding The FPI, he served as a Fire Protection Engineer for the Tacoma Fire Department, where he led the plan review and construction inspection unit. For 14 years, he was a subject matter expert for the SFPE Licensing Committee, specializing in water-based fire suppression systems for the PE exam.
Mr. Schultz has over 40 years of experience in fire protection engineering. As a respected speaker and educator, he spent 20 years as an instructor for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), teaching automatic sprinkler system seminars nationwide.
We are very excited to welcome Mr. Anderson and Mr. Schultz to our team and look forward to benefiting from their extensive expertise and leadership.
