New Year, New Home

Updated: Jun 21, 2022

Over the past year we’ve been updating you all on the progress of our new office building. We are very excited to announce that we have completed our move to our new home at 417 New Karner Road in Albany, NY!

From 2021 to 2022 RAN has blossomed and exceed our goals for the year. We are thankful to all our clients who made that possible. We are looking forward to continuing to grow with our clients and cannot wait to see what 2022 brings us.

2021 was still far from normal, but even in all the uncertainty and madness, RAN was able to push through and be there for our clients every step of the way.

Tim DeRuyscher shared his thoughts and experiences with RAN during 2021. This is what Tim had to say:

Covid Vaccines and Boosters allowed RAN to keep operating and providing services. As a result, there were many cool fire protection engineering projects that we worked on. These include MOOG Aircraft, Loretto Fire Flow, Skyview Mall, Roswell Park, Fuel Cell Hangar, Momentive WV, Gulf Tower, Amazon Warehouse, and so many more. Also, NYS Code Council work was done throughout the year with townhouse sprinklers, fire fighting communications options, and new codes coming soon to NY. In the field of Fire Protection Engineering, there is evolving fire protection and environmental foams, especially in industrial fire protection. Moving away from projects, Tyler Tamblin joined the RAN team in the Spring of 2021, which expanded the Rochester Office. RAN’s holiday party also had 26 people this year! 2022 is looking better than ever and we can’t wait to continue the fun!

Tyler Tamblin was another employee who wanted to share his thought and experiences! Tyler joined the team in 2021 and here is what he had to say:

The year 2021 was a significant transition year for me, in moving from a large multidiscipline corporation to a local small business in RAN Fire Protection Engineering. Doug, Chris, and the whole team have been more than welcoming in bringing me in to join the RAN family and making me feel at home. In just the one year since I have started with RAN, we have had success and continued to grow the company through some uncertain times in the world. We have confidence that we are moving in the right direction as individuals and as a company. In just one year I have had different experiences at RAN that have transformed my idea of being a fire protection engineer into a career that is much more than simply the technical work. The business of our success has captured my intrigue like not many things have. In the past year we have grown the company with several simple yet crucial features; those are client relationships, quality product delivery, and the establishment of a presence in the Rochester area. Based on 2021 we believe that the presence in the Rochester area will grow in both personnel and recognition in the markets.

One of the primary keys to the success of RAN is the trust that our clients have in our honesty and technical ability. This mutual respect allows us to retain the clients that we have and to acquire new clients.

The transition to RAN, I am positive, was the correct and most rewarding career choice I have made in my ten years in the industry. Working for a smaller close-knit firm like RAN has allowed me to advance my career experience in management, sales and team building more than ever before. 2021 was only the beginning of what I expect to be a long and very successful journey.

2021 was a great year for RAN with us moving and growing our team! Stayed tuned for our next newsletter, we’re just getting started.
