2023 was a very successful year for RAN Fire Protection Engineering! We set forth some ambitious but achievable goals, and we conquered them. We saw both growth and expansion in our Albany and Rochester offices and cannot wait to see what this year holds. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish this without our hardworking and dedicated team or our loyal clients. We thank all the existing clients who have continued to strengthen their relationship with RAN, and we look forward to growing relationships with the clients we gained in 2023. Just how successful was RAN in 2023? Let’s take a look back at the year!
RAN hit the ground running in 2023 with the first few months focused on starting the year off strong with obtaining new projects, working hard on finishing existing ones, acquiring new summer interns, and seeking out growth opportunities. We also attended a few spring career fairs to help spread awareness about the fire protection industry, while looking for our summer interns for the Albany and Rochester offices.
May and June were exciting months for RAN because Samantha Wile and Gillian Nadeau both graduated from Worchester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with their Master’s Degrees in Fire Protection Engineering! RAN also hired Morgan Tambolleo and Matthew Guarneri in the Albany Office, and Timothy Buhse in the Rochester Office. In case you missed the blogs you can check out the Albany hires blog here and the Rochester hire blog here.
RAN also attended a few conferences and held multiple presentations throughout 2023. RAN attended the NFPA Conference, where Samantha Wile, Gillian Nadeau, Matthew Guarneri, and Connor Ross all presented. This conference allowed RAN to share their knowledge and experience with others, while also attending other presentations, networking, and learning more about the industry. A few of RAN’s members also attended FSSA, where they we able to develop a deeper education of the fire suppression industry. Finally, RAN attended the SFPE Conference, where Samantha and Gillian presented on smoke control systems. While at this conference, RAN’s own Christopher Crivello was awarded the 2023 SFPE 5 Under 35! To read more about Chris being an awardee, click here.
RAN finished out the year strong by securing an OGS Term Contract for Fire Alarm Replacements in Correctional Facilities all throughout New York State! RAN is no stranger to completing jobs for New York State Correctional Facilities since we have performed work on 93% of the currently opened facilities, 100% of maximum-security facilities, and 96% of medium security facilities. This is a huge accomplishment for our team, and we are thankful for this opportunity!
With that being said, 2023 was a big year for RAN, but we have even bigger plans for 2024! We have a huge announcement coming early this year, so stayed tuned because you won’t want to miss it!
